"Bottom line you've just got to go in to Shiki and ignore anything to the left or right! The food is so good at Shiki, I don't even notice anymore. It's obvious that being a family run business makes it consistent and the freshest fish I've had in the valley. This place even rivals my favorite sushi in Portland! Shiki's freshness is what finally converted me to all raw! Try Ono nigiri if you want to start eating raw and not be repulsed by fishiness, cuz this is amazing and great for those who have only eaten cali rolls and cooked item sushi. Have fun! "

"I really want to give this place a 4, but i just cant; because i know i have had better but Not in Oregon. When i lived in the Bay Area i could get better, but in Oregon this is probably the best u can get. I really like the staff here, its always the same people and they always remember you and are very polite. I have to say though they probably have the best salad's iv ever had in a Japanese place. They also have very good eel, like the best i think iv ever had. As for every thing else, its all really good but like i said its not the best iv ever had. I like the salads here so much that i would normally come by Just for a salad and a drink! Its that tasty! One thing there are missing and i think they could do it really well is noodle soups. Man if they started to serve some Udo soups i would deffinatly find a way to go there probably at least once a week! All in all a Very solid restaurant "

"I recently took some friends from New York there, they said "This sushi bar would be popular in New York." They are big time sushi eaters. My wife and I eat there often. We even have our own chop sticks there. Try it...you'll like it!"

"I LOVE Sushi!! I have eaten at most of the sushi places around here, and Shiki is by far the best. Also, this is one of the only places I can find Sapporo, a Japanese beer, which I really enjoy. "I eat lunch here at least once a week and have for several years. Be realistic, this ain't Seattle or San Fran - we live in Medford and for Medford Shiki is outstanding. Reasonably priced, great service. Always tastes fresh, little to no fishy smell when you walk in."
