Good Service, Environment, and Raised Expectations
"Movie going is one of my favorite pastimes. For sometime, I have believed that movie going would be to expensive for the expected benefit.
Although the cost of going to the movies are quite high, the latest experience has made the cost worth it.
The service that I received was very good from the box office to the concessionaire. The newly remodeled theater is warm and welcoming. I look forward to the next time I go to Medford's Cinemark."

Nice place, Food is too high
Pros: Very nice place, comfortable seats, good service
Cons: High prices food and drinks - STOP IT
"This is a nice theatre, but seriously, if someone has 3 kids, a night at the movies would cost a fortune. NO WAY it is ok to charge $4 for a little hot dog, $3.75 for candy that is sold at the dollar store and on and on...This has been the complaint from people for years. Guess what, if you charged normal prices for the food, you would sell a ton more of it and people would stop sneeking it in so much. I'm no marketing specialist, but you would have a full house more often than you could imagine if peole thought they were getting a good value for their money...just saying. Be the first movie entertainment company to step up and make only 100% profit from food items instead of 400%."

Poor Experience Made Right
Pros: Responsive management. A genuine concern for the movie experience.
"In an earlier review, I commented about the volume level for the movie 'Inception.' Well, after contacting Cinemark, the theater offered to 'make right' my poor experience. Cinemark contacted me and provided complimentary passes for wife and I to see 'Inception' again.
This time the entire movie experience was flawless. Everything went just as expected. The volume for both the trailers and 'Inception' was just right. And, there were no other issues with lighting, focus or (thankfully) people talking. It was a wonderful movie experience. Just what we've come to enjoy.
'Thanks' to the Cinemark General Manager, Aaron Vincent, for renewing our faith in the Medford Cinemark Theater."

NOT The Best Movie Experience
"I usually enjoy Tinseltown but sometimes they just don't seem to care.
The sound level for 'Inception' was absolutely horrible. When the movie trailers started, the sound was so loud it actually hurt. And, it wasn't our ears. The volume level was so high the bass frequencies from the speakers were being clipped and breaking up.
My wife went out to the lobby and asked the staff to reduce the volume. Yet, when all of the trailers were over and the movie began, the volume level was still unbelievably loud. I went out to the lobby and asked again but the staff didn't seem to know what to do.
Since we had already missed the start of the movie, we asked for a refund and left. I REALLY wanted to see 'Inception' but I suppose when there are only six people in the entire theater, viewer satisfaction isn't a high priority."

Comfy seats, A/C works
Pros: Cup holders
Cons: High prices
"OK to take the kids to the matinee when the prices aren't so high. I can't see how they think its OK to charge that much for a soda though."

"I think it would be benificial for the movies to be listed in the paper, at least on Fridays when the new movies come out for those who don't have internet access! "
